Hi All,
I am applying (Policy-Map) rate limiting on my router subinterfaces for dedicated bandwidth, I would like to know: how long is the average statistics of the interface when you issue the command (sh policy-map int g6/2) for example? also is the high drop packet is indication for flooding attack? How I can prevent from flooding attacks on my Network??
Appreciate your help & feedback,
Thanks,

I did really get your question. However, if you are seeing high dropped packets this means the rate you specified in the QoS is being matched and exceeding packets are being dropped.
Explain for me the scenario you want to reach maybe there is a better QoS Mechanism!
