Redistribution between ospf and rip between two routers

Sir,

I'm trying to communicate between two routers:-

1) In router 1, rip routing protocol is running with multilink and VPN tunnel in old setup.This router is connected with leased line with routers of different location.

2) In router 2, Ospf is running which is going to use in new setup.

3) Both routers are connected with a patch cord back-to-back from its fast ethernet and gig port.

I want to stand my new setup without disturbing old setup.So,I want want to redistribute ospf and rip protocols between both router.

How can i do so?

Kindly suggest with example of commands.

Hello Siddharth,

first of all one of the two routers has to run both RIP and OSPF.

let's suppose it is the new one

R2

router rip

version 2

default-metric 5

redistribute ospf 10

no auto-summary

! appropriate network commands here

!

router ospf 10

redistribute rip subnets metric 50

! appropriate network area commands here
