Re: Redistribution

Hello Ersin,

look for OSPF configuration on CCO.

see:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/iproute/configuration/guide/irp_ospf_cfg.html

You can start to deploy OSPF on your infrastructure without any issue for its greater Admin Distance (110) in comparison to AD of static routes (0 or 1 depending if providing an outgoing interface or an ip next-hop).

Atfer having enabled OSPF on all routers with network commands covering all the IP subnets. You can verify that the OSPF DB is complete by checking the ospf database

use sh ospf database for this.

On the edge / border routers if there are still some subnets missing on the OSPF DB you will need to add a redistribute static inside router ospf but this is required only for the outside world.

Default route requires special handling : in order to propagate a default route in OSPF you will need default-information originate under router ospf on the router that is your exit point to outside world.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
