Yes, although then the switch becomes a single point of failure. That might be addressed with multiple switches and/or stackable switches.

Could you clarify what kind of redundancy you're looking for?
For small ISRs like 2911, redundancy is usually provided by having two (or more) with multiple L3 links and/or FHRP (i.e. HSRP, VRRP).
