Hi everyone

im trying to configure redundancy between 2 interfaces on the same router

in one port its' point to point and the other one its ADSL dialer how can i do it

right now its a static route 0.0.0.0 to the dialler and i configured metric 10 for the dialer and metric 20 for the point to point connection ...

if someone can tell me how to do it and also how to do it the other way when the 0.0.0.0 is for the point to point and the backup is the dialer because there is the problem when the interface is still up but the other side is not responding the Cisco wouldnt know ...

tnx!!!

You could use an IP SLA with track commands for this. Good example found here:

IOS or license may need to be upgraded as IP SLA is not in base software.
