Dear All,

Is that possible that we deactive ISDN during non-business hour and active ISDN again during customer business hour by using ACL?

Thanks a lot!

yes, it is very much possible to do that and in fact ISDN is refered to dial on demand routing technology which means that you use the line only when you need it and disconnect the line when you don't need it.

you can achieve this using ACL to define interesting traffic which should trigger ISDN call and can configure idle timeout to tell how long ISDN should wait for an intereting traffic to arrive at its interface before disconnecting the line.

check this URL for basic ISDN configuration.

hope it helps ... rate if it does ...

Hi,

To be more precise, you need to use time range based ACLs to implement your requirement.

As the orginal poster stated the ISDN line can be activated based on interesting traffic detected using an ACL.

However to ensure that the ISDN line is not used during non-business hours( as you have requested in your post), you should use time range based ACL, which will take effect only for the specific time range specified by you.

For more clarify, refer to the following URL.

Hope this helps. Kindly rate the post if it does.
