Requirements for 10 mb WAN connection

Hello All...

I am putting a 10 mb pipe between two of our locations and need to see what all I need for my routers to be able to handle the traffic?

The 10 mb connection should just be Ethernet, so I should only need available serial interfaces on my routers, correct?

I have a Cisco 2600 on each side.

Re: Requirements for 10 mb WAN connection

You will need an extra ethernet interface for the WAN link on each side. Typically an NM-1E.

No serial interfaces required though.

But there's something that doesn't seem clear. He is trying to put together two locations that could be two buildings. Ethernet technology is limited to 100 metres. How can we overcome this without serial interfaces? Maybe using transceivers on both sides...?

Richard must be implying a Metro Ethernet lastmile for both the locations.
