requirements for CCNP lab

I am preparing for CCNP. I want to setup Home lab for CCNP,

what sort of budget were you looking at?

The most cost effective option (non including purely emulation) can be achveived on the 1700 series with serial WICs and then you can use a emulator to do the labs that can't be done on them (IS-IS is only supported on a couple of 1700 images I think and it's part of the BCSI roadmap)

Then 3 2950xl's for the switching components (so you can do STP etc)

Hi There

Have a look at this post on Wendell Odom's blog. Wendell is a CCIE who among other things writes study manuals for Cisco Press.

He recently went over what was required to set up a CCNP lab. He covered 3 budget levels and explained what part of the CCNP course was and was not covered by the different labs.

It is quite an informative article.
