Hi i want to connect a Macbook pro using a rj45 to rj45 console cable to set up a switch but i don't know what to do and no information about it online only about usb. Can anyone help? Thanks

If you have a MacBook Pro, you don't have a serial port. And you can't connect an Ethernet-Port to the serial-port of the switch. You need:

Yes, just make sure that the Chip that is used in the adapter is supported for the OS you are using.
