Hi,

It looks that the image is damaged after it transfered (or it was already before that).

If you use xmodem then try to find the smallest image (you can save a lot of time) and after you can easily upgrade.

Alternatively if you have ethernet port then let's try to use tftpdnld. Very fast...

Hope it helps, rate if does,

Hi,

It looks somehow the router not able to uncompress the image. What does the dir flash: shows? Is there enough space on that?

Anyway what caused to went the router to rommon?

Krisztian

It seems to be a faulty hardware to me.

Please try taking the DRAM and flash out and reset them again on the slots. Power on the router and then try sending the file again. Please see the link below for placing the DRAM and Flash:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps274/products_installation_guide_chapter09186a008007de1b.html#1034416

If still it doesnot work, Please get the replacement for the BOX.

dir flash:

Device does not contain a valid magic number

boot: cannot open "flash:"

boot: cannot determine first filename on device "flash:"

Thanks

Well as suspected above it might be a hardware issue indeed. Let's try to reseat the memory modules and if not helps start an RMA procedure as suggested.
