Hello all,

I am learning as a student , router configuration commands.I am working at CCNP level however I need to know the command to increase my RTT.I need to hold the packets some more time at a particular interface so as to increase the RTT.Is there any interface or global level command to do it? Or is it there any other means.Any help will be highly appreciated!

Regards,

Saurabh

Active Delay Control suggests that routers notify endpoints when packets should be delayed during congestion and depending on the implementation either the sender will delay data transmission or the receiver will delay its ACK generations. The idea behind this is that an added delay will increase the RTT of a session therefore allowing for a larger CWND size that can reduce the number of timeouts. The approach taken involves the sender introducing transmission delay similar to that of what a packet would experience had it gone through a router with queuing delay allowing an increase in RTT to allow large CWND.
