router for PPOE server

Hello,

I wanted to know which is your recommendation for a PPPoE server that should manage 600 or 1000 PPPoE sessions. I don't know if a ISR G2 could manage such number of sessions or which router series should I consider. Perhaps the ASR series routers?

Number of session doesn't matter much.

7200s have been tested up to 16K, What matters more, is traffic amount and per-packet features applied.

Could one ISR G2 router manage several hundreds of PPPoE sessions or I should choose an aggregation router. We have an ISR G2 router that we could use, that is the reasson for the question.

There are many models of ISR G2 and you are not telling which one and not telling the expected total bandwidth.
