ROUTER IS NOT SAVING THE CONFIGS

Hi All

when i try to saving down configs on router it gives the following mesg ..

R1(config)#wr

Attempting to overwrite an NVRAM configuration previously written

by a different version of the system image.

Overwrite the previous NVRAM configuration?[confirm]

Invalid Pointer value(4589AE30) in private configuration structure

*Sep 12 08:55:30.839: NV: Invalid Pointer value(4589AE30) in private configuration structure

Any idea...

Hi,

Did you perform an IOS upgrade before the error message?

Dear Tabish,

Please do following steps.

1. Save old config template

2. erase startup-config

3. wr erase

4. reload

5. when ask would you like to initial config ?? N

6. paste Old config again

Sure then u will able to save without any errors

no i have not upgraded IOS yet

Hi Tash,

Check which IOS version you currently have by using the "sh flash:" command.

Then go to the global configuration mode using the "conf t" command and type

boot system flash:

Where is the IOS version in the flash memory of the device.

Could you run the "sh ver" command and tell me what's your current configuration-register?
