Routing issue

Dear All,

Cascade sites --- Router A --------- Router B (CE) --- Hub site (PE)

Router A running EIGRP, Router B running EIGRP and BGP, when disconnect the connection between Route A and Router B and reconnect it back, Router B will learn the routes from Router A by BGP instead of EIGRP, how to set the configuration that Router B will learn the routes from Router A via EIGRP when the connection restored before Router A and Router B?

if both routing protocols are running fine on the router, and if router is learning same routes from EIGRP as well as BGP, then Administrative distance is the first criterion that a router uses to determine which routing protocol to use if two protocols provide route information for the same destination.

The smaller the administrative distance value, the more reliable the protocol.

are you running iBGP or eBGP between router A and Router B?

If it is eBGP, then as AD value for EIGRP is 90 and AD value of eBGP is 20, then routes will be learned from eBGP.

can you post running config of router and "show ip protocols" command output?

I think there is a little confusion here. You have EIGRP running between Router A and B. You have BGP running between RouterB (CE) and the Hub site (PE). Correct ?

If router B is learning the EIGRP routes from router A, no matter you disconnect the cable N number of times the same routes will always be learned by EIGRP. The only way those routes will be learned by BGP

1. If you have redistribution configured on router B between EIGRP and BGP

2. You have some other direct connection between RouterB and cascade Site and you arr running BGP on those cascade site.

What is your router configuration like.Please post the router confugurations.

Hi, trinawang

This subnet mask show up everywhere on you configuration: 255.255.255.210. I really can't understand what its meaning is. Is it a typo or it really show up on the screen when you typed "sh run"
