routing to internet multihomed routers from inside network

Hi all

I have 2 internet routers from different providers, both routers are running full table and ibgp between them

We run ospf internally and I want to route to my 2 internet routers from my inside network, I want to allow the internet routers to pick the best path as they should.

whats the best way of achieving this from inside when using ospf ?

Hi,

I would do this on both edge routers:

router ospf xx

default information-originate

Alain

would this load balance traffic to the routers and then the internet routers would use the ibgp path to select the best route etc ?

OSPF does only "equal cost load balance". So, if your internal router have equal costo to the eBGP routers, it will be balanced.

If you do as Cadet said you will have your internal routers with default route to your two eBGP routers.

They will choose the best route through iBGP between each other, so if the traffic goes to the "non best" router on the first hop, it will send it to the "best router" because of iBGP.

Thats how I see..
