same loop back address

Hi,

Can we use the same loop back interface for OSPF and EIGRP protocol. Doesn't it effect each other protocol

You can use the same loopback. I'm assuming that you mean for a router-id?

Hello.

If you are asking about router-id - there will be no conflict (but the isuue described further, as router-id could be used for "forwarding address" inside LSA).

If you are asking about adding some loopback into both processes - yes, you may announce single interface via both processes, but surely better AD will win on other routers.

The issue could be (rearly) in OSPF when it's using "forwarding address" field inside LSA, but the route to the address is known via EIGRP (internal has AD 90). In this case you will find LSA-5/7 in your database, but there will be no route to the destination.
