Hi,

A Good place to start with can be found at cpan.org =>"COMPREHENSIVE PERL ARCHIVE NETWORK", which has very useful tools that are handy if you want to do automation and scripting with cisco devices.

Try "Expect" it uses TCL underneath, it has lots of examples and published books as well. Very easy to automate any task.
