pls i have two subnets on my network, connected one router.my router has link to two ISP that connects me to the HQ.i configure so many static routes on my router.what I want to d now is separate traffic from different subnet to pass through diff ISP (output interface) to the HQ.

Also, does ping or traceroute show the exact interface through which traffic travels on a router ?

it sounds like you need to use policy based routing where u defines ur next hop ( ISP) based on a source subnet match.

K, thanks, so i know i can get the hops (routers

) traffic travel through to the destination with traceroute. i know of ping, what i dont know is what utiliy will make me know show the interface traffic travel trough.

show interface will show the interface utilization. If you use PBR source-based routing it's good sense to use the other link as a backup in case one link goes down
