Pulled out 3 1700 series routers for a project I have coming up. All 3 are giving me "Serial0 is down, line protocol is down". Am I missing something because I cant believe that they are all faulty?
What are the serial interfaces currently plugged into? down/down state means the physical layer is down. If you would like to test out the interfaces & don't have a T1 to connect them to, you can either make a T1 loopback plug...Pin 1 goes to 4 & 2 goes to 5, or make a T1 crossover cable and connect one router to the other.
