Re: serial port V35 on 2600 router

Hi,

I did put the loopback on modem side then Line is UP and Protocol is UP, then after 10secs the Protocol goes DOWN but Line is UP. I reconfigure the serial0 but it does not solve the problem.

Let say I have only one router spare and I can't simulate the line with spare modem, any other way to simulate loop back on serial router ? or maybe loopback V35 cable ?

Hi,

You can connect serial 0 and serial 1 interface with V.35 cable ...but for that you should have female V.35 cable ..then u can make one v.35 cable by connecting male and female together...and other two ends goes to serial1 and serial 0.

you can use a hardware called "Loop back V35". You put it on modem and then use "show interface serial 1". If your V35 port on modem is working, it will display like this :

Serial is up, line protocol is up (Looped)

  Hardware is PA-MC-8TE1 Plus
