Hi Guys,
Was wondering if any of you had come across a similar (in-compatability) issue.
This weekend we were sheduled to upgrade our core from sup2 to 720's.
However when we change the WAN link (les circuit) to the new core the fibre doesn't come up but the transciever sees the link as connected.
The main physical difference is that instead of using a 16 port gbic blade we are now using using the new SFP style connections.
They are like for like, in that the old connection was from the LES Transciever to a LH/LX GBIC. The fibre is MM across the main fibre run then a conditioning patch is used into the LX GBIC.
However when we do Exactly the same with SFP's i.e LH-MM SFP instead of GBIC the link just doesn't come up.
Everything works fine Cisco to cisco, the new SFP's seem to have an issue with the LES transciever.
I have tried numerous fibre and SFP combinations but can't get the link to come up.
Has anyone had a similar issue?
Thanks Scott
