Re: sh ip route eigrp

show ip route shows all the routes currently in the forwarding table.

show ip route eigrp shows only those routes in the forwarding table that were derived from EIGRP.

You can put RIP, OSPF, etc in the parameter to select particular routing protocols. With OSPF and EIGRP, if you have multiple processes or ASs, then you can do it selectively per process too.

Re: sh ip route eigrp

Sh ip roue command shows

C 199.40.118.128/25 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0

D 199.40.118.64/26 [90/4732416] via 199.40.117.6, 03:34:33, Multilink1

10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets

and show ip route eigrp command shows

199.40.118.0/24 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks

D 199.40.118.64/26 [90/4732416] via 199.40.117.6, 03:35:31, Multilink1

10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets

Perhaps there is something in your environment or in your post that I am not understanding. But it seems to me that Kevin gave the correct explanation. In the first part of your question:

Sh ip route command shows

C 199.40.118.128/25 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0

D 199.40.118.64/26 [90/4732416] via 199.40.117.6, 03:34:33, Multilink1

10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets

The show ip route shows a connected route and shows an EIGRP route. While in the second part:

show ip route eigrp command shows

199.40.118.0/24 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks

D 199.40.118.64/26 [90/4732416] via 199.40.117.6, 03:35:31, Multilink1

10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets

the show ip route eigrp shows the eigrp route but does not show the connected route. I do not see anything wrong with this.

If there is something here that I am not understanding can you clarify for me?
