Show DSL Interface ATM x/x/x/ Question

The crc errors presented by this command appear to be set to some sliding time frame. Does anyone have an idea as to the timeframe that is utilized? A clear counters does not clear these error stats, btw. I cant locate this info anywhere. Also does anyone have an idea of an acceptable noise margin? Thanks!!

Re: Show DSL Interface ATM x/x/x/ Question

I don't understand why you want to know the timeframe? Or is it pure intrest? Just a joke but i can help you in a other way.

The answer lies in your last line in the post.

If the noise margin and the used capacity would show better values the CRC errors will disapear.

A good noise margin is higher than 10dB and the used capacity should be lower than 80 to 85%.

Also the adsl speed values seem strange, the downloadspeed is 1408 kbit. This doesn't look like a regular adsl speed/profile? The uploadspeed 512kbs looks ok.

I think you should check the cabling or the adsl filter, when it is used of course.

Hope this will help you.
