simulate software crash in 6500.

I have two questions.

1. I want to simulate software crash in a 6500. Will the command "test crash" crash the whole system, or will a switchover happens? Is it the best commmand to simulate a software crash?

2. Under what situation a "Software-forced reload" will happen? Is it an unrecoverable problem? Does it affect both SUP cards?

Re: simulate software crash in 6500.

1. Yes test crash simulates a software crash and if you have redundant supervisor a switchover should occur.

2. A software bug bad enough to make system crash and reboot.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
