Hi Sawsan,
On 3750 switch a concept of
stack number/module number/port number is used
stack number refers the switch in stack if you have 3750 configured in stacking if no stacking configured it is always 1.
module number always 0 on the Catalyst 3750 switch
port number is the physical interface on that particular stack if no ctacking configured then it is always referd as 1.
For instance
interface gigabitethernet1/0/4 on 3750 means inetrface 4 on module 0 on stack switch 1.
interface fastethernet3/0/4
it means fast ethernet port number 4 on module 0 on stack member switch 3.

hi ankur,
first thanks for your answer, it helped me a lot. but what i'm confused about is the module number. what is the purpose of the module number in 3750 if it is not a modular switch, and the module number always set to 0?
