Slow Connection to external DMZ server

Internal users are going to the firewall and then routed back in to the web-server. It's the internal users complaining about the speed. Routing has been configured internally to get to the server but different option is required to speed up the connection with security as main concern as the serve sits on the external DMZ.

Urgent help required. Thanks

Perhaps insufficient information to offer many suggestions, but sometimes firewalls can be a bottleneck at LAN-2-LAN "speeds". You might consider bypassing firewall, and routing directly between special DMZ web server and internal network. Security for this might be a simple as allowing internal out to DMZ server and only permit responses via an ACL. (Using a TCP established ACL.)
