SNMP Commands on 7206VXR

Hi Gurus,

What is the equivalent command for 7206?show snmp mib ifmib ifindex

Hello Jeff,

I can confirm your problem I've tried on an older C7206

sh ver | inc image

System image file is "slot0:c7200-is-mz.121-25.bin"

And it doesn't accept the command

The only other way I know is by using an SNMP MIB browser

and using OID

.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.iftable

looks for lines with

ifEntry.ifDescription

hello Jeff,

it should work also on C7200 it may require enable

show snmp mib ifmib ifindex

NVI0: Ifindex = 10

Null0: Ifindex = 7

SSLVPN-VIF0: Ifindex = 6

VoIP-Null0: Ifindex = 5

Loopback10: Ifindex = 8

Loopback100: Ifindex = 11

Loopback20: Ifindex = 9

GigabitEthernet0/1: Ifindex = 1

FastEthernet0/2: Ifindex = 2

GigabitEthernet0/2: Ifindex = 3

GigabitEthernet0/3: Ifindex = 4

Loopback172: Ifindex = 12

sh ver | inc image

System image file is "disk2:c7200p-advsecurityk9-mz.124-20.T.bin"

if it is not supported in your device it is a question of IOS image

That explains why i dont get this command. Is there any work around? I want to check the index for my Gig1/0 interface.

#sh ver | include image

System image file is "disk0:c7200-js-mz.122-13.bin"
