SNMP user aes

All,

  i was trying to change my snmp user on a router 12.4  to the following: 

snmp-server user test testgroup v3 auth sha #################  priv aes 256  ********************* 

however,   in the AES it only showed "des56  Use 56 bit DES algorithm for encryption" option and not the aes 256 option. 

any thoughts?
