how to make it active?

Hi Friend,
Make sure you have your source and destination port connected. Also Change the command
"set span 9/1 2/1 both inpkts disable learning enable multicast enable create " to
set span 9/1 2/1 both inpkts disable learning enable multicast enable and press enter.
This should make it work.
HTH, Please rate if it does.

I think that Amit is on the right track when he comments about the source and destination ports. It would be helpful to see the output of show port 2/1 and show port 9/1. I suspect that one (or perhaps both) of the ports is not active.
HTH
