Static Load Balancing

Hi guys:

just asking how can i load balance a static routes:

example:

I have 2 WAN connections both serials and im going to access server address example (10.2.5.112).

Q:

How will i set my static routes to use the 2 connections evenly, if the 2 WAN lines are up and automatically shift to other routes if one line is down?

Thanks

Cliff

Re: Static Load Balancing

Hi Cliff,

The routes are loadbalanced automatically when you have static routes in place. No specific configuration is needed for this.

In case one link fails the entire traffic flows on the other active pipe

eg ip route 10.2.5.112 255.255.255.255 172.16.1.1

ip route 10.2.5.112 255.255.255.255 172.16.2.1

HTH, rate if it does
