Static route forwarding address

Hi Expert,

Please help me to understand of using forwarding address of static route after determining the interface

example:

ip route xx.xx.xx.xx 255.255.255.0 GigabitEthernet0/0 x.x.x.x name DO_NOT_ADVERTISE_TO_MPLS

You usually do this for

You usually do this for multiaccess interfaces in order to explicitly tell the router what the interface is and the next hop for the route. The next hop after the interface has to be directly connected to the interface that you specify. They're called "fully specified static routes".
