static routing over a vpn to another network

We have a main office that has 2 gateways, 192.168.254.12 (which is used to access another network via T1 connection to the 10.0.0.x network) and 192.168.254.31 (which is used for Internet traffic for the main office and for connecting VPN's).  We also have another remote office that has a site-to-site VPN tunnel to the main office, 192.168.1.1.  The users in our remote office need to access hosts behind 192.168.254.12 which are on 10.0.0.x network.  I'm guessing that to make this happen I would need to use static routes on both 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.254.31 to direct traffic to the 10.0.0.x network. 

If this is correct, what kind of static routes would be used in either of the routers?  If this is not correct, how could I direct the traffic?

if i have understood your network and ip address schema correctly, from remote office in 192.168.1.0 subnet, you would need to put static route for 10.0.0.x network towards the HO and on the HO routers you would need another static routes pointing for 10.0.0.x and 192.168.1.x at the right places.

Finally assuming there is a default route from the 10.0.0.x site to the HO, it should be all good.

if you can give me the ip addresses of the interfaces, i could give a brief syntax.
