Stopping DOS attacks

Is there anything I can setup on my routers and switches to alert me or show me in a syslog server when a DOS attack is occuring? Such as, when, from what IP, etc?

Thanks,

Jhottle

Re: Stopping DOS attacks

Create an extended access-list which denies and logs the DOS attack when it's happening.

You can also use tcp intercept for this issue

Re: Stopping DOS attacks

Hello,

Can you explain the tcp intercept method? I am not experienced with this.
