strange behavior on 7206 with cef

hi,

i have a 7206 router on which i HAD a interface gig0/2.2178 with an ip-adr 10.20.255.225 255.255.255.248 !

!

i then deleted the interface 0/2.2178

(no int ..) and configured this interface on an other router which has a ospf-connectivity tzo the 7206.

!

the 7206 learned the net 10.20.255.224/29

from the new router - ok

mplsrbgope01#sh ip rou 10.20.255.225

Routing entry for 10.20.255.224/29

Known via "ospf 65052", distance 110, metric 146, type inter area

Last update from 172.16.24.86 on GigabitEthernet0/2.190, 00:07:55 ago

Routing Descriptor Blocks:

* 172.16.24.86, from 172.16.24.20, 00:07:55 ago, via GigabitEthernet0/2.190

Route metric is 146, traffic share count is 1

mplsrbgope01#sh ip rou 10.20.255.227

Routing entry for 10.20.255.224/29

Known via "ospf 65052", distance 110, metric 146, type inter area

Last update from 172.16.24.86 on GigabitEthernet0/2.190, 00:07:58 ago

Routing Descriptor Blocks:

* 172.16.24.86, from 172.16.24.20, 00:07:58 ago, via GigabitEthernet0/2.190

Route metric is 146, traffic share count is 1

!

BUT:

When i tried to ping 10.20.255.225 and .227 - i have different resaults.

!

.225 is ok and .227 is nok

!

then i saw the cef tabele from the 7206:

mplsrbgope01#sh ip cef 10.20.255.225

10.20.255.224/29, version 85589, epoch 0, cached adjacency 172.16.24.86

0 packets, 0 bytes

Flow: AS 0, mask 29

tag information set

local tag: 1406

via 172.16.24.86, GigabitEthernet0/2.190, 0 dependencies

next hop 172.16.24.86, GigabitEthernet0/2.190

valid cached adjacency

tag rewrite with Gi0/2.190, 172.16.24.86, tags imposed: {}

mplsrbgope01#

mplsrbgope01#

mplsrbgope01#sh ip cef 10.20.255.227

10.20.255.227/32, version 85586, epoch 0, connected, cached adjacency 10.20.255.227

0 packets, 0 bytes

Flow: AS 0, mask 29

via 10.20.255.227, GigabitEthernet0/2.2178(deleted), 0 dependencies

next hop 10.20.255.227, GigabitEthernet0/2.2178(deleted)

invalid cached adjacency

mplsrbgope01#

!

strange - .227 looks like it is on the deleted interface - .225 (which is the int adr. of the new router is ok)

!

so it seems the 7206 looks for .227 in the deleted interface - althoug the routingtable is ok.

!

i also found no command to clear the one entry in the cef - it is a corerouter so i cannot do a "clear ip cef *"

any idea ???

thanks
