Strange behaviour on a link between WS-C3750G-24PS-S and Juniper J4350

Hello community,

I know it is an exotic problem, but we never know :-)

Here is the architecture :

WS-C3750G-24PS-S--(1000BaseSX_Cisco_SFP)-----------------(1000BaseSX_Juniper(Avago)SFP)--Juniper_J4350_Router

The issue has been experienced by our customer when testing and validating this architecture. When he performs a shut/no shut on Juniper side he notices after some occurences of shut/no shut (sometimes after 3 tries, sometimes after a little more tries) both link status stay down/down (another shut/no_shut on either site do not fix it).

This issue is reproducible each time we repeat a shut/no shut after a certain number of times.

The only solution to bring back the link up is to manually unplug and plug the fiber.

The thing is we see this behaviour only with this hardware combination (WS-C3750G-24PS-S --> AND NOT <---other models of 3750)....

IOS verison is ipbasek9-mz.122-44.SE3

Any suggestion or similar experience maybe with other material would be welcomed.

Thank you very much.

Karim
