STUN basic and Nortel DPN100 DTEs

Hello,

I have to replace copper based leasedline betwin two Nortel DPN nodes

I have only IP VLAN solution from the provider with ethernet interfaces at the both ends

I whould like to use two Cisco2610 using

STUN basic using this setup

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk827/tk369/technologies_tech_note09186a00800b451e.shtml#stun_basic

I just not sure if this tunnel will work at all or will work if on IP Network side not serial but ethernet interfaces of 2610 routers used?

Will it be possible to test this tunnel

without actuall DPN100 DTEs, but connecting network analizator at A end and hardware loop at B end and see the loop?

I made some labtest with it already but cant see loop, sh stun state closed and 0(Zero) TX/RX packets

debug stun commands show nothing on the console.

serial and ethernet interfaces on both routers are UP and protocol UP

I can post the config of both routers it it require

Thank you in advance for the help

I'm not sure stun is such a good idea for what you want to do.

Circuit emulation over IP should guarantee that to work. There are interfaces available for the ISR routers.

yes I know about CEoIP moduls, but it Price Range: $2,812.00 - $2,962.00

make this solution not cost effective

Still cheap compared to the saving you realize replacing a leased line.

With STUN and an old 2610, basically you have no guarantee that it will work well or work at all.
