SW6509 detected GLC-LH-SM with bad EEROM

Hi all,

When I installed new GLC-LH-SM to card WS-X6724-SFP on sw 6509, the switch disabled interface and gave an error message: "%PM_SCP-SP-3-TRANSCEIVER_BAD_EEPROM: Integrity check on transceiver in LAN port 1/20 failed: bad key".

It also had the same error when I tried to install on other ports. The WS-X6724-SFP card operates normally. It's already installed some transceivers.

When I installed on other card, this transceiver operated normally.

Does anyone experience or give me some idea with this problem?

Has the SFP been purchased through an official cisco channel ? If so, open a TAC case and ask for RMA. If not, I'm afraid you have no remedy.
