Switch can ping out to servers/computer, but can't ping switch

Im currently trying to ping from a client computer to a server. We have a switch connecting the two through a vlan. We can't ping anything from the hosts, but the switch can ping back to both. Any idea?

Are the server and the client on the same VLAN? If not, is there a router involved, or is the switch doing Layer 3?

THe switch is doing Layer 3 and yes they are on the same vlan.

from the switch:

view the mac address table to verify the interface connected to the device.

then run show vlan, paying attention to the interfaces that are attached to the server and the client.
