Switch port transmit packets

Dears ,

I want to know in my 6500, 4500, 3560 ,3700 switches from which port i am receiving heavy traffic, by which command i will come to know.

hi,

try the show interface summary command.

i've used one of our 3560 as an example.

#sh int summ

 *: interface is up
 IHQ: pkts in input hold queue     IQD: pkts dropped from input queue
 OHQ: pkts in output hold queue    OQD: pkts dropped from output queue
 RXBS: rx rate (bits/sec)          RXPS: rx rate (pkts/sec)
 TXBS: tx rate (bits/sec)          TXPS: tx rate (pkts/sec)
 TRTL: throttle count

If you want to see the link utilization in real-time, the command (for Catalyst 2K & 3K) is "sh controller utilization" and the values are expressed in percentage.

Check your interface for any

Check your interface for any "packet output drops".  This particular counter should NOT be incrementing.

Dears, Once i open a tac case

Dears,

 

Once i open a tac case and the tac engineer execute  a command  but not sure

sh inter | ex etc etc , in place of etc etc they put some thing  but i dont remember now.
