Switch with (trunk port) connect to Hub

Dear all,

If switch is configured as trunk port and connect to hub (simple hub) , is it work?

If you connect workstations on the hub and connect the hub on the switch while configuring switchport as trunk then possibly on the switch you would get the logg message of "cdp native vlan mismatch" and the traffic generated from the workstations on the hub would be switched in vlan 1 on the switch by default. This would happen if you have a dot1q trunk. Connecting a hub on trunk port is not a good practice.

yes it will work. i already tested it. the switch will consider the hub as a cable .
