Hi
our router start restarting itself I believe its bug but I get the error below but did not find anything online for the fix
some people say you need to upgrade IOS
could you please help?

this reload is caused by the following defect:
CSCsd70772 Externally found moderate (Sev3) bug: Resolved (R)
NBAR: bus error when translating UDP packet
Integrated in 12.4(06)T04 12.4(09)T01 12.4(09.02)T

Upgrading to any version later than the ones above will fix the issue.

Hello Ozhan,
A bus error generally means that the CPU tried to access a memory location that is not physically accessible. In most cases, this is a problem of the operating system. You are running the 12.4(4)XC7 version which is quite old and in furthermore, it is a special branch of IOS that was created only to implement and test a particular enhancement feature, and this feature was then reintegrated back into the 12.4 or 12.4T train at some time later.
I therefore strongly recommend to upgrade to the newest 12.4 or 12.4T IOS in a particular feature set that fits your memory and FLASH resources, and see whether the problem is resolved.
