T1 DSU

I have an existing external 2 channel CSU/DSU that has failed. The existing 1700 series router configuration is utilizing 2 serial WICS for the 2 separate channels. Can I utilize a Cisco T1 CSU/DSU card in a 1700 series router even though there are two separate circuits? The circuits are frame relay and PPP. Thanks

Re: T1 DSU

Yes, if you can have the ISP provision the two circuits onto the same pipe (any way a T1 can only utilize 24 channels, so it will be a fractional T1 for each circuit.

Most times ISPs take a lot of time to reprovision circuits..

Re: T1 DSU

Just to be a little more clearer, it is just one data line that is connected to the external CSU/DSU. From the 2 channel CSU/DSU the frame and PPP circuit connect to the 2 WICS on the router. Thanks
