Taking IOS backup

Hi all,

I got 1751v series router, It has got only Console, Aux and Fast Ethernet.

Now problem is, It fast ethernet is not working. Is there any way to take the backup of IOS.

Hi kumar, Don't you have the serial connection? If you have then you can backup the IOS through Serial Interface. Thanks, Goutam

Generally you can load an IOS via the console port; don't know whether the converse is supported.

Hi Joseph, You are right. But according the post - he wants to take a backup of the running IOS. I am not confident that it can be done by the XMODEM - receive file process. Some one can post any idea? Thanks, Goutam.
