Teamed cards on a 4506 switch

folks

i have a number of 4506 switches with large f&p servers etc on them

the server cards are teamed to run at 1Gb but i'm told that the switch defaults to only using a single card & this seems to hold up in that i don't see all the mac addresses in the arp table

is there a way to fully exploit the team so that 3 * 1Gb cards with run at 3Gb under the virtual IP - i'm told etherchannel is the way to go

thanks to anyone taking the time to respond

ps: any sample configs or links to such would be gratefully accepted

Etherchannel is a method to logically bundle many ethernet and fast ethernet interfaces into one so that they operate on a whole at a collective bandwidth.

The etherchannel configuration varies slightly depending on the IOS version used. Let me know your IOS version.

Here are some of the documents explaining configuration of etherchannel on 4500.
