Hi,

-Users are connecting the servers through Telnet. The servers is in WAN cloud.

- We have two router: one router is primary router which is connecting the primary link and other one is a secondery router which is connecting the secondery link.

- Whenever the primary link is flap or down, users are not able to access the server, the windows looks hung and after 10-20 sec windows is hanging.

- Only TCP Telnet is allowed from users to access the server.

Just want to know whether the Telnet needs to re establish when the primary link goes down? Is this true or anything is wrong?

please suggest.Thanks.

If you do not have any dynamic routing in place - that can re-route within the TCP timeout, then then when the circuit goes down you will have to restart the telnet session.
