hi all, i am trying to upload image to ios router ,

I HAVE TRIED THE SAME SOLAR WINDS AND TFTPD32 softwares . both resulted in timeout .

any help please ?

dint understood about mult media card reader ?

Since you are having issues copying the IOS from your TFTP server to your router, a media card reader is a sure-way of copying the IOS into your router's CF.

Another thing, have you checked the IOS you've downloaded? Have you checked if the HASH is valid? You could/may have incompleted the download of the BIN file.

Sorry...that is what I get when I rush my answer....sorry...missed the rommon mode.

Like Leo said the card reader is by far the easiest but you can use xmodem....I have had to use it and boy is it slow.

TFTP has a file size limit and you are probably over that. I run into that all the time. Use FTP and you should have no problem.

i cant use ftp , their is no valid image in flash .

so the router is slipping in rommon mode

so tftpdnld is the only method .

I have found installing an earlier less featured IOS and then upgrading from that works - providing your routers dram/flash can support the IOS you wish to use.

I had same issue when copying IOS file by tftpdnld. I fixed it by increasing timeout value as "TFTP_TIMEOUT=72000"
