The routes still advertised to HQ via static route and no effect to BGP

Dears,

I have issue on HQ ASR 1002.

When branch operate in normal case via BGP then switch to operate via VSAT (static) -->no problem.

When branch switch back from static to BGP --> the route still advertised to HQ via static route and no effect to BGP.

The workaround to solve problem: Attached

Remove static routes from HQ Router and re-add it again after 2 minutes ------ the routes return back to normal routing protocol BGP.

Taken Actions to solve the issue without Solving the problem

  1. Increase the Matric of static route from  50 to 230 -->  the issue still exist
  2. no auto-summary & no synchronization under BGP -> the issue still exist
  3. "no bgp dampening" under bgp -> the issue still exist

At branch side

  •    interface Tunnel888
  •    ip address 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.X
  •    tunnel source 10.x.x.x
  •    tunnel destination 10.x.x.x

  •    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.x.x.x 230
  •    ip route 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.x 10.x.x.x

At HQ side

  •    interface Tunnel888
  •    ip address 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.x
  •    tunnel source 10.x.x.x
  •    tunnel destination 10.x.x.x

  •    ip route 172.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 10.x.x.x 230
  •    ip route 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.128 10.x.x.x 50
  •    ip route 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.128 10.x.x.x 50
  •    ip route 10.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 10.x.x.x 50
