trace route

there is ospf running in my network and when I check routing in distribution switch I can see multiple paths, but when I trace route from l2 access switch I cant see mutiple path , but when I try trace route from l3 distribution switch I can see multiple path ..why ?

Here is the guideline for layer 2 traceroute:

ospf dont work on layer 2 , it works on layer 3 or 4.

So layer 2 switch will not show the all path.
