Traffic Shape (2 Mbps IN/OUT on 100 Mbps line)

Hi everyone,

I have a Cisco 2821 router configured as Internet access router on a 100Mbps line.

The internal i/f of the router is configured as a dot1q trunk to have a VLAN per Internet subnet.

Now I have a guest and I want to give him a static IP address on a Internet VLAN for his VPN router.

The bandwidth for this IP address should be limited to 2Mbps In/Out.

I already tried the traffic shape command but this only for "out"-traffic.

How can I shape the Up- and Downstream traffic?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Christoph

Hi,

you should be able to configure a service-policy with shaping on the subinterface for that vlan, have you tried ?
