I have 50Mb Merto-E circuit and want to traffic shape. I currently have a 2901.

Does the 2901 have the capacity to traffic shape a 50Mb circuit?

You should be able to shape the traffic to whatever you may need. Are you asking if the router has the throughput capacity to support a 50 Mbps link? I don't think it can support it but I will try and find the link.

hi,

The Cisco 2900 Series enables deployment in high speed WAN environments with concurrent services enabled up to 75 Mbps.

The 2901 should support traffic shaping.  Cisco recommends the 2901 for up to 25 Mbps although it also documents its peak thoughput at 3 Gbps.

The real issue is whether your 2901 can deal with your 50 Mbps.
